GILMAN CHEESE IS GROWING! JOIN OUR PRODUCTION & PACKAGING TEAMS! Gilman Cheese is a leading developer, manufacturer, and private labeler of premium, high-quality, clean label, processed cheeses. Production team members rotate in various jobs to prepare and fill boxes with hot cheese. Packaging team members rotate in various positions to cut, package, label, inspect, and stack cheese. You will work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (first shift production or packaging) or 4:00 p.m. until about 2:30 a.m. (second shift production). Employees work every other Friday (depending on business needs). Starting pay rates range from $19/hour to $23/hour. Employees are eligible for a $.50/hr. rate increase after 90 days. New hires are also eligible for a signing bonus! These positions require basic math and English communication skills as well as the ability to follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor. Gilman business owner Jessica Wisocky received approval, Aug. 12, from the Gilman Village Board, to install, at no cost to them, what she is calling Chiquita House, on Main Street, near Vault Village. Similar to a little library, Chiquita House is a “leave or take” resource box, for those suffering with memory problems, their caregivers/family members or those who are interested in preventative methods.
