Town of Ogema Notice to Contractors Request for Sealed Bids Demolition and Site Restoration The Town of Ogema is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the complete demolition and site restoration of the property located at: W4969 Holmes Street Ogema, WI 54459 Scope of Work The project shall include, but is not limited to, the following: • Demolition and removal of all remaining structures and improvements; • Removal of all foundations, footings, slabs, and belowgrade materials, unless otherwise directed by the Town; • Removal and lawful disposal of all demolition debris, rubbish, and miscellaneous materials from the property; • Furnishing and placement of suitable fill material as necessary; • Backfilling, grading, and leveling of the site to a clean, smooth, and safe finish grade consistent with surrounding properties; • Restoration of any disturbed public property resulting from the work; and • All labor, supervision, materials, equipment, hauling, disposal fees, permits, and incidentals necessary to provide a complete turnkey project. Contractor Responsibilities The successful contractor shall: 1. Obtain and comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and local permits, regulations, and ordnances. 2. Be responsible for identifying and complying with all applicable environmental and disposal requirements, including any required, handling, or abatement requirements, if applicable. 3. Be solely responsible for all utility locates and coordination with utility providers prior to commencement of work. 4. Maintain the project site in a safe condition and provide all necessary traffic control, barricades, and safety measures. 5. Repair any damage to Town property or adjoining public infrastructure caused by the contractor’s operations. The successful contractor shall furnish a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) evidencing general liability, automobile liability, and workers’ compensation coverage and shall name the Town of Ogema as an additional insured prior to commencing work. The policy coverage shall be subject to approval by the Town Attorney. Inspection of Site Each bidder is encouraged to contact the Town Chairperson, Lars Holm, to arrange for an on-site inspection prior to submitting a bid. The Town will be justified in rejecting any claim based on facts regarding the Contractor should have been on notice as provided herein. Bid Submission Sealed bids shall be clearly marked: “Demolition Bid – W4969 Holmes Street” and delivered to: Town Clerk N2493 State Hwy 13, Ogema, WI 54459 Sealed bids must be received by the Town Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026. Bid Opening and Award Bids will be opened and considered for award by the Town Board on: Monday, July 20, 2026, at the regular monthly meeting on 7:00 pm in the Ogema Community Room. Reservation of Rights The Town of Ogema reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, request additional information from bidders, and accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Ogema. All work shall be fully completed and the site restored to final grade no later than Friday, August 28, 2026.
