Donations Medford Lions Club History The Medford Lions Club was organized in 1951, granted a charter by Lions Club International on January 31, 1951 and incorporated on May 5, 1967. At the present time, the Medford Lions Club has men and women members who are from all walks of life. The club members have one unified motto: “We Serve.” Since 1917, Lions Clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in local projects such as the clean-up for an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world’s blind, Lions Clubs have alway embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community. Some of our Projects & Events Maple Fest • Distribution of Large Print Calendars • Dial a Santa • Adopt a Highway Clean-up on Hwy 64 • Support for Vision Screening • Eyeglass and Hearing Aid Collection • Scholarship Awards - MASH • Meals in a Backpack • Partipation in Local & Area Parades Duck Race Want to Become a Medford Lion Meetings are held twice each month on the second and fourth Wednesday at BS Bar & Catering (E Hwy 64, Medford) at 7:00pm (Not required to attend all meetings). Gilman business owner Jessica Wisocky received approval, Aug. 12, from the Gilman Village Board, to install, at no cost to them, what she is calling Chiquita House, on Main Street, near Vault Village. Similar to a little library, Chiquita House is a “leave or take” resource box, for those suffering with memory problems, their caregivers/family members or those who are interested in preventative methods.
