As defined by Wisconsin Statute 66.0407, noxious weeds include Canada Thistle, Leafy Spurge and Field Bindweed (Creeping Jenny). In addition, Section 9.6.11 of the City of Medford Code of Ordinances prohibits property owners from growing or pollinating any weeds, grass or brush which causes hay fever in human beings, emitting unpleasant or noxious odors or may conceal filthy deposits or provide for the accumulation of trash or litter. Property owners failing to comply will be subject, upon conviction, to a forfeiture. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day that such violation continues to exist.
