Notice of Public Hearing In the Matter of State and Federal Aid for the Improvements to Taylor County Airport W5125 Apple Ave., Medford, WI 54451 The County of Taylor is considering petitioning the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, for state and federal aid to undertake the following development at the Taylor County Airport: The character, extent, and kind of improvements desired under the project are as follows: Maintain, rehabilitate or reconstruct runway pavements; Rehabilitate/ Upgrade runway lighting; Maintain, rehabilitate or reconstruct taxiway and taxi lane pavements; Maintain, rehabilitate or reconstruct apron pavements; Construct new terminal apron; Reconstruct ramp; Develop hangar area; Construct ease taxiway; Construct hangars; Construct terminal building; Construct fuel system; Construct maintenance shop; Update Airport Layout Plan (ALP); Acquire land in runway approaches and for airport development; Purchase snow removal equipment; Navigational aid improvements Clear runway approaches as stated in Wis. Admin. Code Trans §55, and any necessary related work. Notice is hereby given that the County of Taylor will hold a public hearing at 10:00 AM on January 5, 2026, at the Community Center, located at 845 E. Broadway, Medford, WI 54451. All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views on the need for the proposed airport development. Parking for people with disabilities and an accessible entrance are available. Please call the Taylor County Clerk at 715-748-1460, at least three (3) days in advance of the hearing to make specific accessibility requests. Additional written testimony may be filed with County of Taylor if received within 10 calendar days after the date of the public hearing.
