It was an uneventful evening for members of the Medford City Council on Tuesday as they met to hold the annual board of review. No property owners attended to question their property tax assessment. The board of review is the opportunity for local taxpayers to raise objections to their property tax assessments and ask the board to approve modifications to it. Under state law, the burden in on the taxpayer to show that the assessor’s amount was incorrect. The board of review meets for at least two hours regardless if there are any filed complaints BRIAN WILSON/THE STAR NEWS
Planning commission members gave their blessing to annexing 880 Gibson St. The request next goes to the city council for final approval. It will be developed for multi-family residential use.
