He may be still brightly lighted, but the Santa figurine atop the Scout building in Gilman’s Village Park, is a bit singed on the backside, after someone built not one, but two fires in the fireplace, the chimney of which is where the figure is stationed. GINNA YOUNG/THE STAR NEWS Grant Bub, Taylor County broadband program manager, spoke Dec. 10, to residents of Gilman, about what services are currently provided to the area and which ones are still coming in the next few years. There’s a distinct lack of internet services to the rural spots, which the county and private companies are working to address.
