On Monday, the Medford City Council voted to purchase this building located at 136 W. Broadway Ave. (Hwy 64) in the downtown. The church that currently rents the building will remain until November 30. According to Mayor Laura Holmes, the city intends to tear down the building to improve visibility along the busy Hwy 64 corridor and is looking at options for redeveloping it in the future. The city of Medford Splash Pad was a popular destination for those looking to beat the heat. The region has been blanketed with stifling heat and humidity with high temperatures pushing into the 90s.
