This is a professional position within the Public Health Unit of the Price County Health and Human Services Department. Work is focused on population based as well as individual services and is guided by standards and principles of Public Health Nursing practice. Work focuses on clinic and communitybased health assessments and health maintenance services, assisting individuals, families and the community to understand health needs with an emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance. Position has extensive contact with the public, other service providers in the community and other employees in the department. Position functions are performed in an office, client home, and community setting. Position is under the direct supervision of the Public Health Unit Manager/Health Officer and the general supervision of the Health and Human Services Director. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting hourly rate of $30.27, (Grade 9) and full benefit package.
