Type A Notice of Referendum Election November 5, 2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the several towns, villages, cities, wards, and election districts of the State of Wisconsin, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the following question will be submitted to a vote of the people pursuant to law: “ Eligibility to vote. Shall section 1 of article III of the constitution, which deals with suffrage, be amended to provide that only a United States citizen age 18 or older who resides in an election district may vote in an election for national, state, or local office or at a statewide or local referendum?” This referendum ballot is a result of 2023 Enrolled Senate Joint Resolution 71, a copy of which can be viewed or downloaded from the Wisconsin Elections Commission website at https://elections.wi.gov/elections and also on the Legislature’s website at https://docs.legis.wisconsin. gov/2023/proposals/reg/sen/joint_resolution/sjr71.
