Fine grade, water, and compact the base course material. Add hot mix asphalt. Shape for paving, asphaltic paving at a compacted thickness of 2 ½”. Shoulder placed at a 2-foot width on both sides of the road along with pavement marking. An Engineer’s Certificate of a 10 year life will need to be provided by the contractor as part of the final bill. A Certificate of Liability Insurance must be included with the bid. Wisconsin Central Ltd. (CN) is announcing plans to reconstruct a railroad crossing in the village of Gilman, Taylor County. Beginning Monday, Aug. 18, CN is upgrading the railroad crossing at Hwy 64 in Gilman. The street will be closed at the crossing, and a signed detour will be in effect.
