Gravel Bids Wanted Town of Ogema The Town of Ogema is seeking sealed bids for 8,000 yards of 3/4 inch crushed aggregate dense gravel. The base aggregate shall conform to the quality and gradation requirements as specified in the State of Wisconsin Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction, Latest Edition, and Section 305. Materials shall be well graded within the limits specified and shall conform to Base Aggregate Dense – 3/4 inch of the Standard Specifications, Section 305.2.2.1. The Town Board reserves the right to prohibit or reject delivery of material considered to be unsatisfactory. The contractor, prior to delivery of any material, shall furnish the Town Board satisfactory evidence that the materials are meeting the specification requirements. There shall be a minimum of one gradation test per 2,500 cubic yards. Materials sampling and testing shall be furnished by the contractor in accordance with approved testing methods. Whenever the contractor is ordered to furnish a test sample beyond those normally required, the cost of the test shall be paid for by the Town of Ogema unless the material fails to meet the testing specifications. To be delivered anywhere in the town, after July 22, 2024, and MUST BE before September 30, 2024. Contractor must stockpile gravel for mixing. Contractor is responsible for royalties. Minimum of 4 dump trucks or equivalent for delivery of gravel A certificate of insurance must accompany the bid. The Town Board of Ogema reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Wisconsin Central Ltd. (CN) is announcing plans to reconstruct a railroad crossing in the village of Gilman, Taylor County. Beginning Monday, Aug. 18, CN is upgrading the railroad crossing at Hwy 64 in Gilman. The street will be closed at the crossing, and a signed detour will be in effect.
