Gilman village clerk Candice Grunseth (center) received an award for Administrative Professional of the Year at the 38th Annual Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA) Conference held March 24-27. Grunseth celebrated 20 years with the village on Monday, April 6. SUBMITTED
Kylie Weiler is a school social work at Medford Area Elementary School and a 2026 Kohl Fellowship recipient. This year, Weiler started a new group in the elementary school called StrongHER Together Girls Group that works to works to build self-esteem and emphasis being a good friend. Black River Riders club member Sharon Grimm holds up the map showing the location of the proposed shooting range in relation to nearby riding and hiking trails. The county is seeking grant funds to pay for the development of a new shooting range. Club members urged the county to pursue an alternative site that was further away from the trails.
