PUBLIC NOTICES PUBLIC NOTICE Bids on Timber Stumpage Sealed bids will be received by Department of Natural Resources forestry staff by mail or in person at the DNR Service Center, 225051 Rib Mountain Dr., Wausau, Wl 54401, up to 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, for timber stumpage on the following areas: Bill Cross Wildlife Area (Lincoln County), Mead Wildlife Area (Marathon and Portage County), Menard Island Resource Area (Oneida and Lincoln County), Merrill Memorial City Forest (Lincoln County) and Plover River Fishery Area (Marathon County). Information about bidding as well as the entire timber sale prospectus containing bid forms and detailed information can be found at: https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/ timbersales/statewide. Eight (8) tracts comprise a total of 457 acres with 20,830 tons of aspen, mixed hardwood, oak and mixed conifer 4” products, 13,050 tons of whole tree products and 27 MBF of mixed hardwood logs. Included in the mixed products tonnage weight, is approximately 224 MBF of hardwood sawlogs and 178 MBF of pine and spruce.
