Every week November 26 the Welcome Center Theater Room from 6-7:30 p.m. Unwrap practical tips to keep your sanity and holiday spirit intact. Main St. will be open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays from 2:30-5 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-noon. For more info, call 715-503-1071. There will be a community Thanksgiving service and food drive at 6:30 p.m. at the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts, 400 N. School St., sponsored by Spencer area churches. Come praise and thank the Lord! Everyone is welcome. Freewill offering, non-perishable food items, or cash donations will benefit King’s Food Pantry in Spencer. November 20 November 14 November 29 The Loyal Area Historical Society will have a soup supper at St. Anthony Church dining hall from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Menu includes chili, chicken noodle soup, and fixings. Cost is $8, age 5 and under, free. Carryouts available. There will be raffle baskets, a quilt raffle, and the hometown hero honoree. The Greenwood Lions Club will hold a bingo night at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenwood American Legion Hall at 108 S. Main St., Greenwood. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Area businesses will participate in Greenwood’s Small Business Day. November 15 November 21 and December 5, 19 December The Ain’t No Garage Sale Pop-up will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at 420 E. 1st St., Loyal. There will be a raffle with proceeds going to the Loyal Food Pantry. Check facebook for details. The Granton Pop-Up Food Pantry will be open at 21 S. Main St., from 11 a.m. to noon. No ID or proof of income required. Receive produce, dairy/meat, and dry goods. You may pick up food for more than one household. For more info, call Feed My People Food Bank at 715-8359415. The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce will host a Christmas Lighting Contest open to all Greenwood School District residents. Register by Dec. 11 at 4:30 p.m. to city hall at 716-267-6205. Judging will take place on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. November 16 The Greenwood Loyal co-op drama club will perform “Freak” at 4 p.m. at Loyal High School. November 21 December 1 November 18 The Greenwood American Legion Post 238 will hold a fish fry from 4-7 p.m. at the Greenwood American Legion Hall at 108 S. Main St., Greenwood. The Loyal Public Library will host Game Group at 1 p.m. with a variety of board and card games to choose from. All are welcome to attend. November 19 and December 3, 17 The Greenwood Area Food Pantry will be open from 35:30 p.m. at 302 N. Main St., Greenwood, for anyone in need of assistance. The UW-Extension Clark County Human Development and Relationships educator Crystal Walters will host a Smartphone Technology class from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Clark County Courthouse auditorium on the first floor, 517 Court St., Neillsville. The focus is on social media. Open to public and free of charge, however registration is requested by Dec. 1. Call 715-743-5121.
