The Granton Area School District has the following positions open in the Food Service Department Food Service Manager This person is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. They oversee hiring, training, and managing staff, as well as ordering food and supplies, planning menus, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position is full-time during the school year, with hours varying depending on the schedules of the other staff. During June, July, and August, this person is responsible for summer school and daycare meals only, so the hours are shorter. 2nd Cook/Prep Position — 8:30 to 1:30 — Pay rate depends on experience Batch cook as needed for lunch service. Keep detailed documentation of temperatures, production sheets, and transport sheets for daycare. This person will also be able to complete the duties of the food service manager on a short-term basis, as well as run the POS system. > Must be flexible with duties to adjust to changing demands on a daily basis. > Must be able to communicate with manager, other staff, and students > Must have good time management skills and be able to multitask > Must be able to lift 30 pounds on a daily basis and 40-45 pounds occasionally (Duties include those listed above, but others may be assigned by the manager based on need for the day) Required to open and run breakfast service in the absence of the food service manager Dishwasher/Prep Position — 8:30 to 1:30 — Pay rate depends on experience Batch cook as needed for lunch service.
