FFA, from p. 24 Above left: The hard work of the 2024-2025 chapter of_icer team paid off! Greenwood earned a Silver Rating in the National Chapter Award category for the FFA activities in the 2024-2025 school year. The of_icers not only put on the activities for all FFA members and elementary students to enjoy, but they also set goals and documented each step of the way through the National Chapter Award application. Liv Lucas accepted the award on behalf of the 2024-2025 officer team. She also represented Greenwood as the Three-Star Leader. Above, 2nd from left: Tysen Lindner represented Greenwood FFA in the Dairy Production Placement Pro_iciency Award category at the State FFA Convention. Tysen completed her application based on her SAE of working on her family’s farm. As Wisconsin is America’s Dairyland, it is no surprise that Tysen had stiff competition. Tysen was one of 72 applicants in her category and placed third overall! Congratulations on this high achievement! Above right: The Washington Leadership Conference is a fan favorite for FFA members alike. Greenwood will be well represented, as four of our members are attending this summer! Liv Lucas was awarded a scholarship to help cover the cost of registration and travel expenses to Washington, D.C., for this conference. AG CLASSES HELP OUT WITH LANDSCAPING PROJECT In May, high school students in agriculture classes got some hands-on learning opportunities as they planted several trees and fruiting shrubs for Seven C’s Daycare in town. Some of the trees will provide shade, while a few trees and the shrubs will provide the daycare with fresh fruit during the growing season.
