Every week April 5 The Loyal Community Food Pantry at 132 N. Main St. will be open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays from 2:30-5 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-noon. For more info, call 715-503-1071. Loyal Food Pantry is an equal opportunity provider partnering with DHS to provide USDA TEFAP Foods to our communities. The UW-Extension Dairy Program will host a dairy feeding school workshop at Abbotsford Public Library, 203 N. 1st St. The session will include the latest research and industry information on the current concerns of Wisconsin farmers including feed and cow health. The Clark County Master Gardener volunteers will host a free and open to the public Spring Garden Conference starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Clark County Courthouse Auditorium, 517 Court St., Neillsville. Use the East Sixth Street entrance. Dusty Schlinsog, Turnpike Greenhouse, will discuss cooking with herbs and common garden pests. March 27 April 2 The Greenwood Area Food Pantry will be open from 35:30 p.m. at 302 N. Main St., Greenwood, for anyone in need of assistance. April 5 The Clark County Extension will sponsor a crop and soil health conference with speakers on conservation cropping, regional crops and soil, and dairy and livestock.The conference will be at the C.A.M. Center, W8872 Pine Rd., Thorp, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and is free of charge, with lunch provided. To RSVP by March 24, call Val at 715743-5122, or email Melissa at melissa.ohlrich@wisc.edu. April 4 The Chestnut Center for the Arts will hold their “Savor the Flavor” for the arts fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. at 208 S. Chestnut Ave. in Marshfield. Food samples from area chefs, wines and beers, as well as music by Doug Kroening and silent auction items will be part of the evening activities. Tickets for the event can be purchased at chestnutarts. March 28 The Granton Pop-Up Food Pantry will be open at 21 S. Main St. From 11 a.m. to noon. No ID or proof of income required. Receive produce, dairy/meat and dry goods. You may pick up food for more than one household. For more info, call Feed My People Food Bank at 715-8359415. org. Union St., will have a Lenten fish fry from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Menu includes your choice of deep fried or baked fish and/or shrimp, baked potato, French fries or Katy’s potato salad, salad bar, bun, and coffee/milk. April 5 April 4 The 57th Annual Clark County Male Chorus will hold its Spring Sing at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at 201 N.West St. in Loyal. A suggested donation of $5 is appreciated for the event. March 29 St. Anthony Holy Name Society will have their 15th annual drive-thru only, Door County-style fish boil, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Menu includes fish, potatoes, onions, cole slaw, rolls, carrots, and strawberries with shortcake. Cost $15. Call 715-255-8017 for delivery within the city of Loyal. Tickets available at the drive thru, Fourmens, House of Spirits, and the rectory for the cash raffle — $20 each. The Loyal Alumni volleyball and basketball tournaments will take place at the Loyal gymnasiums from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Call Tony at 715-613-3529 with questions.
