Fifth graders learn about voting, traditional Native American homes The fifth graders learned about elections and the voting process. We discussed what is involved in elections and students had the opportunity to run for office. They created posters, campaigned and had debates before Election Day. They ended the unit on Election Day by voting (see photos to right). The fifth grade students also learned about different Native American tribes. To end the unit, the students created a scale model of a Native American tribal home and shared with other grades (see photos on left).
