Every week October 23 October 31 The Spencer Area Historical Museum at 117 E. Clark Street will be open to the public from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Village of Spencer’s trick-or-treating will be held from 4-7 p.m. Granton’s will be from 5-7 p.m., Greenwood’s will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and Loyal’s will be from 5-7 p.m. The Loyal Community Food Pantry at 132 N. Main St. will be open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays from 2:30-5 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-noon. For more info, call 715-503-1071. October 24 October 31 October 18 Trinity Lutheran Church, 109 W. Clark St., Spencer, will host Trick or Treat at Trinity from 5-7 p.m. Indoor event. The “Power of Planning for the Future” estate planning seminar is to be held at the Loyal High School gym at 514. W. Central Street in Loyal. The event will start with lunch at 12 p.m., followed by a presentation at 12:30 p.m. RSVP by Oct. 15 at clarkccf.org or by calling 715-937-6167. The Greenwood American Legion Post 238 will hold a fish fry from 4-7 p.m. at the Greenwood American Legion Hall at 108 S. Main Street. November 2 October 18-19 October 26 The Clark County Historical Society will meet at noon at the Stanley Area Historical Society for their fall business meeting. Potluck lunch. The public is invited to attend. The Granton FFA will host its Haunted Forest from 7-10 p.m. each night at the Granton School Forest, 217 N. Main St., with a theme of “Where Nightmares Perform Under the Big Top.” For ages 12 and older. Admission $10. Supports the Granton ag department and FFA chapter. St. Ann’s Altar Society will host its Fall Harvest and Holiday Sale from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood. Event includes salad luncheon, bake sale, pie corner, crafts, raffles and “Grandma’s Attic.” Raffles drawn at 1 p.m. Special paddle raffles throughout the sale. November 4 The Loyal Public Library will host Game Group at 1 p.m. with a variety of card and board games. All are welcome. October 19 October 26 November 6 Judging for the Loyal Area Chamber of Commerce fall decorating contest will be held. Prizes will go to the first through third place winners of the contest. The School District of Spencer will host a Haunted Forest from 5-9 p.m. There will be a “PG” trail for younger children, and a “PG-13” trail for the older students. The Greenwood Area Food Pantry, 302 N. Main St., Greenwood, will be open from 3-5:30 p.m. for anyone needing assistance. October 20 October 27 November 8 Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 110 W. Begley St., Greenwood, will have a drive-thru only Swedish Meatball Dinner for $12, with serving from 11 a.m. until gone. St. John’s Lutheran Church, 210167 Highway 13, Spencer, will host “Trunk or Treat” from 2-4 p.m. The Greenwood Lions Club will host bingo at the Greenwood American Legion. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. October 21 October 31 The Loyal American Legion Club Post 175 at 302 N. Union St. will host a steak feed from 4:30-7:30 p.m. November 10 October 22 Extension Educators will host “Heifers – The Next Generation” at Abbotsford City Hall, with registration at 9:30 a.m. and the program from 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. A variety of heifer-related topics will be covered, including transportation, colostrum management, heifer enrichment and managing cold stress.
