July 9: Pint Size Polkas will return to the library (in the Lions Park) at 1:30 p.m. Mike Schneider was here last summer and gave such a great performance, we had to have him back. It’s no secret that polka music is the happiest form of music on earth! July 22-27: Scavenger hunt in the library, anytime the library is open. Search the shelves around the library to answer the questions that are found in the books. Are you up to the challenge? July 29-Aug. 3: Come to the library to create your own “ Summer Adventure Book.” We’ll have supplies and instructions for participants to bind pages together. Your __________________________________________________________ A personal note from Audrey: __________________________________________________________________________________________ on the Fourth will be celebrating my independence! I have been with the Marathon County Library for 30 years, with almost 10 of those years here in Spencer. I have gotten to know so many of you, had many laughs with a lot of you, and watched your children grow. For me the highlight of this job was planning the adult programs. Remember that there were no programs in 2020 and 2021. I will have organized 294 adult programs ______________________________________________________________________________________ Haunted Wisconsin, Sara from Wisconsin Beef Council, Alice in Dairyland, learning about dementia, yoga classes, line dancing class, Honor Flight card making, Marathon County SWAT team, the Wisconsin Remembers wall, and the program that I will always hold closest to my heart: “That Day in September,” with Chris Tucker, the air _______________________________ Thank you to all who attended these programs, making them a huge success and giving me the inspiration to keep doing more. I will miss you all and wish you the best. Till we meet again…farewell.
