Main St. will be open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays from 2:30-5 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-noon. For more info, call 715-503-1071. Missoula Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for “The Secret Garden” from 4-6 p.m. at the Neillsville High School auditorium. Open to grades 5K-12th grade. Selected actors/ actresses will rehearse evenings May 6-10 with performances on May 11. St. John’s Lutheran Church, 210167 State Highway 13, Spencer, will host Pastor Siimon Haamer to share “What God is Doing in Estonia” at 6:30 p.m. He will talk about the mision work of the Tartu Academy of Theology, the development of a Christian outreach center and challenges faced due to the war in Ukraine. Free and open to public. April 25 May 8 The annual meeting of the Greenwood Fire and EMS District will be at 7 p.m. in the Greenwood emergency services building. May 1 The Greenwood Area Food Pantry, 302 N. Main St., will be open from 3-5:30 p.m. for anyone in need of assistance. April 26-28 The Clark County Business to Business Expo & Career Fair will be at Clark Electric Cooperative, 1209 W. Dal-Berg St., Greenwood, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Open to high school and college students, school staff and parents/guardians. Over 60 local businesses/organizations represented. May 8–11 The Highground will host its Spring Work Week, with work hours about 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. daily. Volunteers needed for cleaning, yard and trail work, bringing out benches and picnic tables, and more. RSVP to Pete at ops@thehighground. org or by calling 715-743-4224. The Clark County Spring Into the Arts Tour will take place Friday from 2-7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at artists’ homes and shops throughout the county. Begley St., Greenwood, will host a charcoal chicken dinner from 11 a.m. until gone. Drive-thru only. Menu: Chicken, potato salad, baked beans, dinner rolls, dessert. May 9–11 April 27 The village of Chili will host community-wide garage sales, Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m.-noon. More than 45 sales. May 5 The Clark County Choraliers will sing at Calvary Lutheran Church, 213 Hill St., Neillsville, at 2 p.m. Free, all welcome. May 11 The Clark County Sheriff ’s Office will offer Drug Take Back Day, with collections taken from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Russell’s of Neillsville, Wolf’s True Value in Greenwood and Martin’s Fresh Market in Owen. Bring: prescription and over-the-counter medications, ointments, patches, inhalers, non-aerosol sprays, creams, vials and pet meds. Do not bring: illegal drugs, needles/sharps, acids, aerosol cans, bio-hazardous materials. Call 715-743-3157 for details. May 6 The Growing Granton Strong Color Run/Walk will take place at the Granton Community Park, with registration at 9 a.m., the kids’ run at 9:30 a.m. and the 1- and 3-mile courses at 10 a.m. The Chili-Fremont Fire Department will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its new fire station/community center at 10 a.m., half a mile north of Chili on Highway Y. April 27 May 11 May 6 The Loyal Area Historical Society, 501 E. Elm Drive, will meet at 3 p.m. The museum will be open at 1 p.m. for viewing. All are welcome. Missoula Children’s Theatre resident directors and area youth will join together to present “The Secret Garden” at the Neillsville High School auditorium at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Game Group will meet at the Loyal Public Library at 1 p.m. to play board and card games. All are welcome. April 30 May 6 May 13 The Granton Area School District will host a talent show at 1:15 p.m. Free and open to public. The Loyal Middle/High School Spring Pops Concert featuring the choir and band students will take place at 7 p.m. Cross Fire Church, 212 S. Pacific St., Spencer, will host “Losing What is Precious,” at 6:30 p.m. This 25-session weekly small group discusses grief, loss and the healing journey.
