The Greenwood Area Library serves citizens of the city and surrounding townships. The vision for the new space is carefully crafted to enhance library services for all. “ Grounded and Growing” is the slogan of this community. The Public Library needs to grow to provide for the changing needs of the future. The Public Library isn’t just a place for books, but rather an invaluable free resource which supports residents in all stages of their lives. Whether it is instilling the love of reading, providing life skills for development, resources for searching for a job, filing taxes, or offering a safe place for teenagers and senior citizens to interact, the library does it all. For those who can’t afford to buy books, or don’t have reliable internet access, our library fills the gap ensuring that all residents have equal access to opportunities and information. Our library works with our school to provide wonderful opportunities for our children. With the proposed expansion we will be able to offer so much more for you, the citizens of Greenwood and the surrounding townships. The Greenwood Area Library is the smallest library but has the fourth highest circulation in all of Clark County, Wisconsin. Our Vision • Library collection has outgrown the space making it necessary to weed books for no other reason than we don’t have room for them. With more space, weeding would only occur if the item was damaged. This would make more materials available to patrons. • Restroom is not handicap accessible. • There is no handicap parking.
