The exception is for fundraisers which are accompanied by a paid advertisement. Every week January 31 Donations of cat or dog food or cash requested for the Clark County Humane Society. The Tack Center will sponsor an art night, held at 6:30 p.m. at the Spencer Community Room, 105 Park St., Spencer. Free and open to public. The Loyal Community Food Pantry at 228 N. Main St. will be open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays from 2:30-5 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-noon. For more info, call 715-503-1071. February 5 Game Group will meet at 1 p.m. at the Loyal Public Library to play board and card games. All are welcome. February 2-4 January 25 February 7 There will be a regular quarterly meeting of the Greenwood Area Fire and EMS District at 7 p.m. at the fire hall. The Highground Veterans Memorial Park, Neillsville, is hosting a veterans’ retreat which includes snowshoeing, PTS management workshops, art and cooking, and an ice fishing event on Lake Arbutus Feb. 3. Veterans are invited to attend the ice fishing event or entire retreat. Registration due Jan. 19. Call 715-743-4224 for more info or to register. The Loyal Red Hats will host a Valentine’s party at Loyal City Hall at noon. Call Lois Becker at 715-255-8307 by Feb. 1 to register. January 26-28 February 7 Loyal FFA Alumni bowling tournament, Strike Time Lanes, Neillsville, with bowling shifts Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday at 11 a.m. Door prizes, raffles, food. For questions or to register, call Mark at 715-255-8807 or 715-316-3570. February 3 The Greenwood Area Food Pantry, 302 N. Main St., will be open from 3-5:30 p.m. for anyone in need of assistance. The Granton Area School District will host the “Cabin Fever Bulldog Bash” from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Open to public. See Facebook event for more details. February 11 January 28 February 3 The York Center United Methodist Church, N5889 County Road K, Granton, will host its Sweetheart Pancake Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 715-937-2585 for takeout. St. Anthony Holy Name Society will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, Loyal. The Loyal United Methodist Church will host a chili cookoff from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Taste and vote for the best chili.
