He may be still brightly lighted, but the Santa figurine atop the Scout building in Gilman’s Village Park, is a bit singed on the backside, after someone built not one, but two fires in the fireplace, the chimney of which is where the figure is stationed. There’s a distinct lack of internet services to the rural spots, which the county and private companies are working to address.
