Many Stratford High School students placed at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional competition on Saturday.

Students who finished in first through third places will compete in their events at the FBLA state competition in April.

The following are Stratford High School FBLA students’ results at regionals: Keegan Weiler, third place in advertising; Edgar Vizcarra Raucho, third place in computer problem solving; Fueller Gustafson, second place in computer problem solving; Zach Johnson, first place in cyber security; Tristan Wirkus, second place in electronic career portfolio and Jacob Skroch, sixth place in securities and investments.

Book Club

The public is welcome to join the Stratford Branch Library for an ongoing, online book club discussion each month that can be done at people’s own pace rather than during a single meeting.

The Stratford online Book Club chat in February entails the book, “This Tender Land,” by author William Kent Krueger. People need to access Goodreads online to join the Book Club chat.

College notes

Josh Nowak of Stratford graduated in December of 2020 from UW-Stout, with bachelor of science degrees in hotel restaurant and tourism, and real estate property management.

Mariah Zawislan of Stratford was awarded to the dean’s list at UW-Platteville for the fall 2020 semester. She is majoring in elementary education.
