County snowmobile trails to open
The Taylor County Forestry & Recreation Department, in collaboration with area snowmobile clubs, is thrilled to announce the opening of snowmobile trails for the season.
Trail Openings: Wednesday, February 12, at 8 a.m.: Trails east of Highway 73 and north of Highway 64, and trail #18 south of Highway 64 in the towns of Browning and Goodrich.
Friday, February 14, at 8 a.m.: All remaining trails Please note that trails are expected to be in early-season conditions, with potential rough spots in swamps and across fields. Exercise caution when navigating these areas.
“Local snowmobile clubs have dedicated countless hours to brushing, signing, and grooming the trail system. Please thank them for their efforts and consider becoming a member of a club. Patronize their business sponsors as well. Additionally, this trail system relies heavily on the generosity of private landowners. Please respect their property by staying on designated trails. Enjoy the Season: We hope you have an enjoyable experience on the Taylor County snowmobile trails this season. Thank you for supporting the economy and businesses of Taylor County,” said Luke Williams, Taylor County Forest and Recreation Administrator For up-to-date Taylor County trail conditions, please call the Taylor County Forestry and Recreation Department at 715-785-8339.
