Darlene A. Reimann, 81, of Medford, town of Browning, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family and while under the care of Hope Hospice. She was born Nov. 21, 1943 in Waunakee to Cecil and Muriel (Goodell) Jenkins. She was raised in Enterprise and graduated from Elcho High School in 1961.

On May 1, 1962, Darlene married Tom Shereck. Together, they had two children, Lynda and Jim. Tom preceded her in death in 1979.

She resided in Milwaukee and worked for Graebel Van Lines. The company then transferred her to Creve Coeur, Missouri, where she was the office manager for several years. While working at Graebel, Darlene found love again and on Sept. 5, 1985, she married Ryan Reimann. He drove truck for the company, and she rode with him for over 20 years, traveling to all 48 contiguous states. They resided in Medford where they’ve been since their marriage. They lived in the country where Darlene enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife in their “backyard zoo.” She also enjoyed riding her four-wheeler through the woods and tending to her flower gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Ryan, of Medford; daughter, Lynda (Ken) Scolaro; son, Jim (Kim) Shereck; brothers, Alan (Linda) Jenkins, David (Becky) Jenkins; sisters, Bette (John) Hoffman, Barb Elliott, Elaine Yungerman, Sally (Jeff) Towne, Tina (Vern) Sneller; sister-in-law, Jayne (Jim) Sauer; brother-in-law, Allyn (Sarah) Reimann; grandchildren, Johanna, Jennifer, Samantha, Tyler (Hayden), Tommy, and Tiffany; greatgrandchildren, Ava, Lucas and Emma; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Edith Jenkins; brothers, Roger, Jim, and Cecil Jr; sisters, Mary and Louise; and brother-in-law, Du-Wayne Elliott.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home in Medford. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery II, Medford.

A service reminder will be printed in the Medford Star News, and on the funeral home website and Facebook page the week prior to the service.
