Athens wins big in the playoffs, Edgar and Marathon also win postseason openers on Tuesday

The Marathon varsity golf team’s season ended in Tuesday’s WIAA Division 3 sectional hosted by Cochrane-Fountain City. The Red Raiders took eighth place with 346. Alma-Pepin won the sectional meet with a low team score of 319 while Eleva-Strum and Cochrane-Fountain City tied for second place with 331. The top two teams advance to state.
