THURS AND HIS TEAMMATES GAVE A VALIANT EFFORT IN THEIR COMEBACK BID - Marathon senior guard True Thurs’ jumper came up a little short against Bonduel with the Bears leading the Red Raiders, 47-33, with 15 minutes left in Saturday’s WIAA Division 4 sectional championship at D.C. Everest. Marathon nearly erased a 16-point halftime deficit against Bonduel by getting within four points of the Bears after junior forward Garrett Bracewell’s pair of made free throws with four minutes and 18 seconds remaining in the second half.
