Dixon is hitting his stride
As the season races on, the Lake Holcombe cross country program is only improving, each time out.
Sept. 9 Bloomer
As the lone runner, at a meet in Bloomer, senior Alex Dixon crossed the finish line in 40th, in a time of 20:55.
Sept. 11 Stanley-Boyd
The Chieftains were then on the road to Stanley-Boyd, just a couple days later, where Dixon claimed 25th (20:15.31), searching to break 19 minutes.
Sophomore Lane Porter was also back with the team and came in 52nd (31:52.55).
With no time to rest, the team then headed to Loyal, where Dixon blew by much of the competition, taking eighth place (20:44).
“He’s on target,” said coach Greg “Cookie” Anderson. “Alex is really after it this time.”
