Hardworking runners are making good times
Courses aren’t getting any easier for the Lake Holcombe cross country program, but that doesn’t stop the athletes from giving their all.
Sept. 6 Bruce
The Chieftains were in Bruce, for their first meet of the week, where senior Alex Dixon came in 29th, with a time of 22:30.6.
“I think Alex did first rate,” said coach Greg “Cookie” Anderson. “He wants to break 19 this year.”
Sophomore Lane Porter is also working hard and finished 42nd (33:15.2).
“She does the workouts and stuff,” said Anderson.
Sept. 6 Chequamegon
To close out the week, the Chieftains were then in Park Falls, where Dixon placed 23rd (20:42.8) and Porter was 25th (29:02.4).
