Chieftains taken down by powerhouse Macks

Although the Lake Holcombe football program was at home, Sept. 5, that didn’t help their case, as McDonell came to call for a league game and was unstoppable. The Chieftains were unable to put any points on the board and McDonell walked away with a 55-0 victory.

Junior Emmit Johnson had 26 rushing yards and 12 receiving, along with 143 yards kicking, while also notching 7 tackles. Fellow junior Kadyn Jones had 7 yards rushing and 33 yards on return, with 8 tackles. Sophomore Kyle Heidtke ended the night with 32 yards on return, along with 6 yards receiving and 4 tackles.

Connor Kane, junior, had 12 yards rushing, 12 yards passing and 10 tackles for the Chieftains, while sophomore Weston Winchel came up with a tackle, with senior Tommy Kane getting 7 tackles and sophomore Nathan Morfoot had 3 yards rushing.

Junior Kooper Pofelski and senior Brody Miller also collected a tackle each, while sophomore Carter Kron had 2 tackles. Freshman Koy Johnson finished the night with 18 rushing yards and 40 yards on kicking, and a tackle.
