Knights hold their own at large Stanley-Boyd meet

Despite some rain earlier in the day, the Cornell-Lake Holcombe track program was on the road at Stanley-Boyd, April 25, where the athletes saw success against a large field of competitors.
Leading the way, was junior Megan Paff, who placed second in shot put (30-05) and eighth in discus throw (69-00), while freshman Ann Pogodzinski was ninth in the 100-meter hurdles (21.24) and 10th in the 300-meter hurdles (1:01.39).
Freshman Kaitlyn Helland came in ninth in the high jump (3-10), 24th in long jump (9-09.75) and 25th in the 100-meter dash (17.02), with freshman Lane Porter in 12th in the 800-meter run (3:14.83).
For the boys, junior Carson Stipek was second in pole vault (10-06) and 24th in the 100 dash (14.14), with junior Alex Dixon in sixth place in the triple jump (34-03.5) and eighth in the 800 run (2:39.14). Sophomore Bryce DeJongh finished seventh in pole vault (8-06), 17th in the 200-meter dash (27.35) and 18th in the 100 dash (13.50).
Senior Hunter Anders came in 14th in the 200 dash (26.47) and 15th in long jump (16-00.5), while junior Logan Jaedike was 16th in the 200 dash (26.94), and sophomore Will Willmarth was 19th in the long jump (15-02.5) and 26th in the 100 dash (14.85).
Also placing, was junior Tommy Kane, with 24th in the 200 dash (34.15) and long jump (12-10.5), while junior Jordan Ness ended in 23rd in the 400-meter dash (1:12.51), 27th in the long jump (10-04.5) and 29th in the 100 dash (16.08).
