Cadott’s Red Sox Baseball team was in action June 2, at home, for a double header against the Eau Claire Rivermen, taking a pair of victories from the Chippewa River Baseball League (CRBL) set.

In game one of the series, Cadott put five runs on the board in the second inning, with back-to-back solo homers from Logan Burzynski and Ely Johnson, followed by Chad Kron, with a two-run homer, before adding another two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth.
The Rivermen got on the board in the sixth inning, with a run, then had two more cross the plate in the seventh, but it wasn’t enough and the Sox claimed an 8-3 victory.
Warren Bowe was on the mound for just over five innings for the Red Sox, but had to be pulled, because of a high pitch count, allowing just a single hit and one lone run, while striking out 10 batters, in his first CRBL win.
“Had a no-hitter, through five innings,” said manager Rick Danielson.
Alex Schmidt then went over an inning, giving up 5 hits and runs, and striking out 2.
Offensively, Jack Kein notched 2 hits, with a hit each going to Bennett Bowe, Luke Erickson, Carter Hesselman, Jack Redwine, Burzynski, Johnson and Kron.
