It was a special night May 10, for the Cadott track program, as they not only hosted multiple schools for the annual DeJung Invitational, but also honored the 1994 and 1997 teams, who brought home State championships. In addition, a scholarship was created in the name of the coaches who helped the athletes achieve that feat.

The present track team also saw success, with sophomore Haley Mathison taking first place in the shot put and discus throw, with distances of 35-00.25 and 105-09, respectively. Mathison also placed sixth in the high jump (4-04).

Senior Jaycee Stephens finished in second for the Hornets, in the 400-meter dash (1:08-76), while sophomore Iszy Sonnentag was second in the 100-meter hurdles (15.97) and fifth in long jump (15-08). Coming in third in the 400 dash, was sophomore Taylor Hager (1:09.08), who also placed 11th in the 200-meter dash (31.05), while junior Cortney Weggen was third in the 3,200-meter run (13:54.52) and fourth in the 1,600-meter run (6:15.66).

Junior Lyla Weggen ended in fourth in the 3,200 run (13:55.21), while junior Adrianna Goodman was fourth in the long jump (15-08.75) and 11th in the triple jump (3003.5). Placing fourth in the shot put, was freshman Ali Blum (28-08.25), who also was ninth in the discus throw (73-09).

Placing fifth in the pole vault event, was freshman Tessa York (6-06), who was 10th in shot put (25-00), 11th in the 400 dash (1:21.59) and 12th in 100 hurdles (21.97). Sophomore Lilly Spaeth was sixth in the 400 dash (1:12.12), with junior Mia Weggen in ninth in the 1,600 run (6:55.68) and ninth in the 400 dash (1:13.82).

Ending in ninth in the 200 dash, was senior Emma Kowalczyk (30.22), with freshman Marley Mengel claiming ninth in the 300-meter hurdles (1:03.38) and 11th in the 100 hurdles (21.68). Freshman Maddie Hrdlicka placed 10th in the 300 hurdles, while sophomore Josie Roth was right behind, ending in 10th in that event (1:05.32).

For the boys, freshman Beau Steinke was second in the 3,200 run (10:36.69) and third in the high jump (65-06), while sophomore Saibyn Will came in third in the 3,200 run (11:08.84) and fourth in the 400 dash (57.26). Ending in sixth, in the discus throw, was senior Cole Malecki (106-01), who also was eighth in shot put (33-10.5).

Sophomore Mitchell Reineke was ninth in the shot put (33-08.5) and 12th in discus (97-05), while senior Eli Burich placed ninth in the 1,600 run (5:36.47) and senior Ayden Wilkie placed ninth in pole vault (7-06). Sophomore Zach Kroeplin finished in ninth in the high jump (410), ninth in the 300 hurdles (54.85) and 11th in the triple jump (29-00.5).

Junior Tucker Salzgeber placed 11th in shot put (3303.75) and freshman Klay Handrick was 11th in the 800 run (3:00.31).
