Marathon senior six foot, 10-inch center Grant Warren broke the school career points record on Friday during his team’s dominating 92-47 home win against Abbotsford. He needed to score 16 points against Abbotsford to break Cody Hanke’s school record of 1,441 career points from 2007-2011. Warren ended up scoring 30 points and Hanke gave him Friday’s game ball.

Warren now has 1,456 career points with five regular-season games and the playoffs remaining this year. He has scored 409 points thus far this season. Paul Syron scored 36 points against Athens in the 1964-65 season and Tom Vetter scored 36 points against Stratford in the 1958-59 season.
