Hornets can’t soar past Cardinals on the road

The Cadott boys basketballs team was off to Thorp, Jan. 25, for a conference match-up. The first half was a close affair, with the Cardinals holding onto a slim, one-point lead over Cadott, going into the break.

Unfortunately, Thorp’s offense stepped it up after halftime, while the Hornets tried to keep pace and defend their opponents. Eventually, the Cardinals pulled away for a 69-52 victory.

Senior Nolan Blum led for Cadott, with 16 points, while junior Braden Schneider ended with 12 points and 6 assists, and senior Brodee Burish followed that with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Juniors Cameron Allard and Nolan Freed added 6 points each, and junior Jackson Barone chipped in with 2 points.
