Hit and Run

A vehicle driven by Laura Jacobson, 43, of Westboro was traveling northbound on N. 8th street and entered the traffic circle at Ann’s Way at 6:07 p.m. on February 8, when she tried to exit from the innermost lane by taking a right turn and travel eastbound. As she did, a vehicle in the outermost lane continued to drive southbound, striking and causing functional damage to the left rear corner. The other vehicle was not at the scene when the police arrived.

Animal related crashes

A vehicle driven by Valerie Lekie, 45, of Medford was traveling northbound on Dums Dr on February 6 at 9:31 a.m. just south of Lekie Ln. when Lekie swerved to miss hitting a deer causing her to go into the west side of the ditch. The vehicle sustained functional damage to its undercarriage.

A vehicle driven by Nicholas Synol, 53, of Medford was traveling westbound at 5:34 p.m. on February 1 on CTH O in the town of Medford when he struck a deer causing functional damage to the front, right front corner and side of the vehicle.

A vehicle driven by Jakob Rief, 19, of Medford was eastbound on February 9 at 6:15 a.m. on STH 64 in the town of Goodrich, when he hit a deer causing functional damage to the whole front of the vehicle.

A vehicle driven by Noah Weinke, 25, of Medford was traveling at 11:02 p.m. on February 9 going westbound on STH 64 in the town of Hammel when he hit a deer causing disabling damage to the right front corner of the vehicle.

A vehicle owned and driven by Jean Krause, 74, of Medford was backing out of a parking spot and turning to the right at the same time on February 10 at 11:45 a.m. Krause struck the vehicle of Alice Pernsteiner, 80, of Medford, which was parked in a parking stall. Both vehicles received minor damage to the bumper of the vehicle.

A vehicle driven by Sara Spanbauer, 38, of Medford was eastbound on Center Ave. at 6:03 p.m. on February 4 when the driver lost control on an icy stretch of roadway and entered the south ditch overturning on its top facing a westerly direction. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to its left front and corner and to the top of the vehicle. Spanbauer was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
