Found Guilty

Brandon J. Yeager, 30, Waukesha, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for the following offenses: Burglary to a building or dwelling as a party to a crime that occurred on August 16, 2019; Burglary to a building or dwelling as a party to a crime that occurred on August 16, 2019; Theft of movable property less than or equal to $2,500 as a party to a crime that occurred on August 21, 2019; and Theft of movable property less than or equal to $2,500 as a party to a crime that occurred on August 27, 2019. The following charges were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes: Theft of moveable property less than or equal to $2,500 as a party to a crime occurring on August 16, 2019, Theft of moveable property less than or equal to $2,500 as a party to a crime occurring on August 16, 2019, Burglary to a building or a dwelling as a party to a crime occurring on August 21, 2019; Burglary to a building or a dwelling as a party to a crime occurring on August 27, 2019; Burglary to a building or a dwelling as a party to a crime occurring on August 21, 2019; Criminal damage to property occurring on August 21, 2019. The court orders a withheld sentence and placement on probation for five years. The conditions of probation are for Yeager to serve five months county jail with Huber privilege. He may serve in any county as long as it is no expense to Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and defendant may participate in electronic monitoring if eligible and approved by the county that he is serving in. Jail time shall begin no later than March 6, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. Other conditions of probation include court costs on each count, DNA sample and pay the surcharge on each count, pay restitution and the surcharge which is joint and several, no contact with the victims, a letter of apology to each of the victims due within 30 days and to be preapproved by the probation agent, AODA and follow through with any recommended treatment, and counseling as deemed appropriate by the probation agent. All costs are to be paid to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts Office in the amount of $100 a month beginning February 6, 2023. In the event Yeager gets revoked he will receive 32 days of sentence credit. He was ordered to pay costs totaling $1,922.

Plea agreement

As part of a plea agreement, Caleb Hainzlsperger, 22, of Medford, was found guilty due to a guilty plea to felony counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of methamphetamine and possession of THC. Misdemeanor charges of bail jumping and possessing drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Hainzlsperger was also found guilty due to a guilty plea on an amended charge of misdemeanor failing to report to county jail. It had originally been charged as a felony. On that charge, the court ordered 30 days county jail with 23 days sentence credit with Huber privileges and good time; no fine but payment of court costs of $443; submit a DNA sample and pay surcharge fee. For the other charges, the court ordered an imposed sentence but stays 60 days county jail on each count on the counts of resisting an officer and possession of THC. The court ordered a Deferred Entry of Judgment on the possession of methamphetamine and holds open for a period of two years. good faith effort to complete the Taylor County Treatment Court program and pay the participant fee of $200 directly to the Treatment Court. Total fees for all counts is $1,329 with payments of $25 per month commencing on March 1 to be made to the Taylor County Clerk of Court’s office. If defendant is revoked from probation, jail sentence is to run consecutively with 14 days sentence credit.

As part of a plea agreement, Tylor Zondlo, 26, Medford, was found guilty of charges of disorderly conduct, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail jumping. A separate charge of felony bail jumping was dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. The court ordered an imposed sentence on disorderly conduct but stays 30 days county jail. All jail sentences to run consecutive to each other totaling 120 days, if revoked, plus potential jail time for bail jumping. Court places defendant on probation for a period of two years with the following conditions: payment of court costs on each count (totaling $1,329, payments of $100 per month commencing on February 1 shall be made); DNA sample and surcharge fee on each count; letter of apology to the victim due within 30 days of sentencing, to be pre-approved by the probation agent; AODA and all follow-through treatment; counseling as deemed appropriate by probation agent; make a good faith effort to complete the Taylor County Treatment Court program and pay the participant fee of $200 directly to the Treatment Court. Failure to complete treatment court would not automatically require revocation on probation. Two days sentence credit was acknowledged.

Other

Antoni Zamora, of Medford, was in court on January 3 and received disposition of “Other” from Judge Ann Knox Bauer for refusal to take test for intoxication after arrest.

Charges Dismissed

A charge of operating a motor vehicle without insurance against Brittany Ann Benz, 31, Medford was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion.

Charges of operating without a valid license due to expiration and displaying an unauthorized vehicle registration plate were dismissed against Anthony Roberts, 35, Medford.

A charge of having a crack/damaged vehicle windshield was dismissed against Tukker Schreiner, 17, of Medford.
