Vehicles driven by Eduardo L. Cruz Olvera, 24, Colby, Daryl Ison, 66, of Wausau, and Jeremy Miller, 48, of Medford, were northbound on Hwy 13 at 2:22 p.m. on December 22 in the town of Little Black approaching the intersection with CTH O. The Ison and Miller vehicles stopped for the stop light in the center lane while the Olvera vehicle moved into the left turn lane to go westbound on CTH O. Olvera lost control of the vehicle on the snow that had been in the turn lane as he attempted to stop for the stop light, causing his truck to fishtail. The rear passenger side of the vehicle struck the driver side of the Ison and Miller vehicles causing damage. Olvera was ticketed for operating while suspended, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and non registration of an automobile.

A vehicle driven by Weston Sova, 32, of Medford was traveling eastbound on Hwy 64 on December 19 at 3:40 p.m. in the town of Hammel. A vehicle operated by Aryam Guadalupe Soto Sosa, 18, of Curtiss, was attempting to make a left hand turn onto CTH E failing to yield the right of way to Sova. Sova’s vehicle struck rear passenger side of the Sosa vehicle, causing the vehicle to spin onto CTH E and strike the front of a vehicle driven by Guy Entenmann, 50, Medford, which was stopped at the stop sign waiting to make a right hand turn off of CTH E onto Hwy 64. The Sova vehicle and Sosa vehicles were towed from the scene. Sosa was ticketed for failure to yield while making a left turn and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

A vehicle driven by Isaiah Kalmon, 23, Withee, was eastbound on Hwy 64 in the town of Hammel at 3:50 a.m. on December 20, when the driver lost control and began to fishtail impacting the guardrail on the south shoulder. The vehicle collided with the guardrail with the front right corner of the vehicle and then the back right. There was no damage to the guardrail.

A vehicle driven by Jesse Allen Brossow, 31, of Stetsonville, was southbound on Gibson Dr. at 8:33 p.m. on January 6, when it crossed over the center line and entered the east ditch. The vehicle continued further into the ditch overturned once and remained on its top side. A blood test was given for alcohol and drugs. The driver was cited for operating under the influence third offense and for failure of operator to notify police of an accident.

A vehicle driven by Rachel Stiver, 41, of Merrill, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 64, at 7:30 p.m. on January 4 in the town of Hammel, and attempted to negotiate a left handed curve at CTH O. Due to the speed and poor road conditions, the curve was not negotiated, causing the vehicle to enter the southeastern ditch, there was functional damage to the front passenger side corner. The vehicle was left in the ditch for the night and removed at a later date.

A vehicle driven by Wayne Thomas Cook Jr., 39, Rib Lake was traveling southbound on CTH C north of Bear Ave. at 5:19 p.m. on Jan. 3 when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree coming to rest upright facing southwest.

On December 31, Deputy Dylan Lindsley was dispatched at 8:53 a.m. to single vehicle accident on State Road in the village of Rib Lake with no one around. According to the crash report, the deputy arrived and observed tracks in the snow bank, indicating that the truck had been southbound on State Road when it entered the south ditch, striking a sign post and a tree causing disabling damage to the front end of the vehicle. The deputy was later able to make contact with the driver, Shawn O’Neal Lekie, 49, of Medford, who told the deputy that he thought the crash occurred around 11 p.m. on December 30 but he was not sure. He stated that he thinks that he fell asleep behind the wheel and drifted off the roadway. He was uninjured and was not wearing his seatbelt. The driver made his own arrangements to tow the vehicle. The driver received tickets for failure to notify police of an accident and operating without wearing a seat belt.

A vehicle driven by Jett Rau, 17, of Stetsonville, was traveling northbound on Gibson Drive at 7:40 p.m. in the town of Little Black on December 21. Due to the snow and ice covered road, along with the blowing snow, Rau’s vehicle drifted to the eastern side of the road. The front tire caught the ditch line and the rest of the vehicle followed into the ditch. Krug’s towing pulled the vehicle from the ditch and it was driven away by Rau.

A vehicle driven by Kenneth Lovstad, 83, of Chili was traveling southbound on Hwy 13 in the town of Little Black at 8:40 a.m. on December 19. A vehicle driven by Norbert Goessl, 80, of Medford, turned onto Hwy 13 from Stetson Ave. ahead of the Lovstad vehicle. Lovstad’s vehicle struck the Goessl vehicle from behind. According to the crash report, Lovstad stated he did not see the Goessl vehicle and was unsure what caused the collision. Goessl stated there was considerable distance between his vehicle and Lovstad’s when he turned onto Hwy 13 and said Lovstad’s vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. Goessl stated he accelerated in an attempt to avoid the collision.

A vehicle driven by Brett Goessl, 23, of Stetsonville, was traveling southbound on Hwy 13 north of Apple Ave in the town of Little Black at 3:28 p.m. on January 3, when it lost control due to slippery road conditions. The Goessl vehicle crossed into the northbound lane where the rear of the vehicle struck a vehicle driven by John Frederickson, 26, of Chili. Both vehicles came to rest upright in the east ditch and both were towed due to disabling damage.
