Cadott drops close one to the Bulldogs
By Ginna Young
Just ahead of the holiday break, the Cadott boys basketball program packed up and headed to Boyceville Dec. 20, for a non-conference match.
Cadott held a good lead at halftime, but the Bulldogs came storming back to outscore the Hornets. Although the game was close, Cadott couldn’t recover enough points to regain the lead and watched the game go to Boyceville, 61-52.
Leading for the Hornets, with four shots from beyond the arc, was sophomore Warren Bowe, who notched 17 points. Sophomore Braden Schneider was right behind, with 16 points – six of those from three-point range.
Senior Tegan Ritter shot for a three-pointer of his own, coming up with 9 points, while junior Brodee Burish also knocked down a three, finishing with 5 points. Junior Nolan Blum chipped in with 2 points for the team and sophomore Nolan Freed added a free throw.
Cadott’s record now sits at 4-3 overall and 0-2 in conference action.
