Joshuan Francisco Steidel Medina, 26, of Colby, pled not guilty to non-registration of vehicle-auto <10,000 lbs. and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for October 11, at 1:30 p.m. A court trial is scheduled for November 15, at 10:30 a.m.

Brock Michael Thums, 30, of Medford, pled not guilty to operating with PAC (2nd offense), OWI (2nd offense) and failure to keep vehicle under control. A pretrial conference is scheduled for October 27, at 11:30 a.m.

William Lee Whittenberger, 55, of Owen, pled not guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for October 27, at 11:15 a.m. A court trial is scheduled for December 20, at 10 a.m.

Brandon J. Yaeger, 30, of Wind Lake, pled not guilty to the following charges: five charges to burglary-building or dwelling, four charges to theft-moveable property (<=$2,500) and a charge of criminal damage to property. A status hearing is scheduled for January 6, at 10:30 a.m.

Aaron Dennis Ovyn, 20, of Withee, pled no contest and was found guilty to charges of possession of birds during closed season. A forfeiture of $263.10 was ordered.

Jeffery D. Albers, 59, of Medford, pled no contest and was found guilty of 4th degree sexual assault and resisting or obstructing an officer. Albers must submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor county Sheriff’s Department and shall be registered on the sex offender registry for 15 years. The fine and costs of $1,536 shall be paid in full within 60 days to the Taylor County Clerk of Court.

Terry L. Firnstahl, 26, of Medford, pled no contest and was found guilty of possession of marijuana (amended from a charge of possession of THC). He is to pay fine of $330.50 directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts Office in the amount of $50/month beginning November 1, 2022.

Firnstahl pled no contest to a charge of intention contribute/delinquency child. Firnstahl entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for the period of one year. Firnstahl is to continue counseling and follow through with any other recommendations and to provide proof to the District Attorney’s Office. He shall not have contact with victim. Upon successful completion of the agreement the state will move to dismiss the charge.

Michael L. McNulty, 40, of Jim Falls was charged with resisting or obstructing an officer (forfeiture). Charge was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Brookelle Stephanie Davis, 21, of Ladysmith, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance. This charge was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Patrick Kurt Nelson, 22, of Medford, pled guilty to illegal loaded firearm (not handgun) in motorized vehicle. His DNR license was revoked for one year and he was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $258.10.

Nelson pled guilty to a charge of hunt migratory bird with shotgun capacity in excess of three shells. He was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $243.

Nelson pled guilty to 2 charges of possession birds etc during closed season. He was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $578.70.

Nelson pled guilty to a charge of shoot protected birds and animals. He was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $565.80.
