Chiefs take out Falcons, Raiders in opening bouts

Picking up where they left off last season, the Cornell volleyball program came up with a pair of conference wins Aug. 30, in a triangular contest at Bruce.
First up, was Flambeau, and while the Falcons battled hard, Cornell claimed the victory in three sets – 27-25, 25-22 and 25-18.
Senior Michayla Turchen led the team with 11 kills, followed by sophomore Brianna Glaus, with 8, and juniors Brooke Sime and Makya Hetherington, with 6 kills each. Hetherington also came away with 15 assists and sophomore Braleee Schroeder had 14.
