Tridents already seeing success in early season

The Lake Holcombe-Ladysmith-Flambeau-Bruce-Bloomer Trident Swim and Dive loaded up the bus and headed to Colby High School Aug. 24, to participate in the Colby-Abby Pentathlon.

There, the girls swam 50 yards in all four competitive strokes (freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke) and a 100-yard individual medley.

“The girls did well,” said coach Matt Bunton.

Junior Madi Kempen finished the night as the second place overall junior, while senior Madeline Bunton claimed first place in the backstroke, and second in the fly and freestyle.
