Juan Guzman Mendez, 26, of Owen, pled not guilty to operating without a valid license (2nd within 3 years). A pre-trial conference is scheduled for August 25, at 3 p.m.

$200.50—Gabriel Joseph Curtis, 18, of Rib Lake, exceeding speed zones (16-19 mph over).

$330.50—Katelyn C. Hoffmann, 26, of Stetsonville, possession of drug paraphernalia, which was amended from a state violation to a county violation. She is ordered to pay the forfeiture at the rate of $100/month starting July 22. A charge of possession of THC (party to a crime) was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

$443—Shane D. Petrie, 29, of Marshfield, misdemeanor bail-jumping. Petrie shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The costs shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Court at the rate of $75/month beginning September 1.

Joseph John Pertle, 49, of West Allis, pled guilty to a charge of OWI (1st offense)(PAC>=0.15). Pertle’s license was revoked for 7 months, and an ignition interlock system will be installed in vehicle upon licensure. He must also complete AODA and follow through with driver safety plan. A $1,015.50 fine is due to the court on August 25. Charges of operating with PAC >=.15 (1st offense) and operating left of center were dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Sabrina Lee Wert, 29, of Edgar, pled no contest and was found guilty of OWI (2nd offense). Wert’s license was revoked for 16 months and an ignition interlock system will be installed upon licensure. She must serve local jail time of 45 days and shall begin no later than September 20, at 4:30 p.m. The sentence may be served with huber and good time. Wert shall undergo AODA and comply with the driver safety plan, and summit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. A fine of $1,664 shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Court at the rate of $50/month beginning on October 3. A charge of operating while revoked (revocation due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal), was dismissed but read in court, and a charge of operating with PAC (2nd offense), was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Jesse L. Noland, 53, of Medford, pled no contest to a charge of felony bail-jumping. He entered into a deferred prosecution agreement of 1 year where Noland shall not commit any criminal offenses; shall notify the Taylor County District Attorney’s Office, as well as the Clerk of Court’s office of any change of address within ten days of said change. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge.

Noland also pled no contest to 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. He again entered into a deferred prosecution agreement of one year. Noland shall undergo an AODA and follow through with all recommended treatment. Proof of assessment must be provided to the Taylor County District Attorney’s Office. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge.

Noland pled no contest and was found guilty of battery. He was ordered to submit to a DNA sample and serve 30 days in jail, which shall begin no later than August 20, at 4:30 p.m. The jail sentence may be served with huber and good time. He was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $500.

Brett J. Kloth, 27, of Medford pled no contest and was found guilty of theft-moveable property <=$2,500 (amended from theft-moveable property >$2,500-$5,000). Sentence was withheld and a probation of one year was ordered. Kloth shall submit to a DNA sample a the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department and shall perform 100 hours of community service. Fines of $443 shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Court. Kloth must write a letter of apology to victims within 30 days of sentencing and shall be pre-approved by probation.

Julian J. Pester, 21, of Medford, pled no contest and was found guilty of violation of absolute sobriety (passenger <16). His license was revoked for 3 months and a forfeiture of $957 shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Circuit Court at the rate of $30/month beginning August 1 with payments increasing to $100/ month beginning October 1. Pester shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, shall submit to AODA, and comply with the driver safety plan. A charge of felony bail-jumping was dismissed but read in court.

Pester pled no contest and was found guilty of burglary- building or dwelling (party to a crime). Sentence was withheld and a probation of 2 years was ordered. A 3 month jail sentence was ordered and may be served with huber and shall begin no later than August 20, at 4:30 p.m. Fines of $518 shall be paid to Taylor County Clerk of Court with the same conditions as above. Pester shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department and shall have no contact with the victims and write a letter of apology to the victims due within 30 days of sentencing. Restitution has been paid in full by the co-defendants. Restitution was ordered joint and several. Charges of burglary-building or dwelling (party to a crime), and two counts of theft-moveable property <=$2,500 (party to a crime) were dismissed but read in court.

Curtis Leon Sigmund, 24, of Medford, pled no contest and was found guilty of reckless driving-endanger safety. He was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $389.50.

Sigmund also pled no contest and was found guilty of sexual intercourse with child 16 or older, actor 19 or older (amended from 2nd degree sexual assault-intoxicated victim). Sentence was withheld and a probation of one year was ordered. Sigmund must submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The costs of $443 shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Court at the rate of $100/month beginning August 1. Sigmund shall have no contact with the victim and may petition the court for expungement upon successful completion of probation. A charge of child enticement-expose genitals/pubic area/intimate parts was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.
