Car vs. deer

CRASH REPORTS

The following car vs. deer accident was reported: Loren John Nelson, 84, of Ogema, on May 16, at 3:40 p.m., on Hwy 13, in the town of Chelsea.

Elizabeth, J. Yoder, 19, of Sheldon, was traveling eastbound on CTH V, in the town of McKinley, on May 18, at 9:30 p.m. Yoder was approaching the intersection with Baughman Dr. when she struck a bear in the roadway and then slid into the northern ditch. There was minor damage to Yoder’s vehicle.

Yolanda Aguilera, 22, of Medford, and April Dawn Hudak, 35, of Medford were traveling northbound on Hwy 13, approaching the Ann’s Way intersection, on May 19, at 7:18 a.m., in the city of Medford. Hudak went to change lanes to the right, and did not see Aguilera’s vehicle. Hudak’s vehicle struck the side of Aguilera’s vehicle.

Sandra Elsie Peterson, 71, of Owen, was going southbound on 8th St. at Clark St. on May 9, at 2:50 p.m., in the city of Medford. Peterson attempted to make a left hand turn at the intersection to go into the County Market parking lot. Anthony Allen Meyer, 42, of Medford, was going northbound on 8th St. in the intersection with Clark St. Peterson had a left flashing left hand turn signal on. Meyer’s light had just turned green and they were proceeding through the intersection. Peterson’s vehicle attempted to make the left hand turn and Meyer’s vehicle was proceeding through this intersection, which caused Meyer’s vehicle to strike Peterson’s vehicle in the passenger side. This caused functional damage to the whole passenger side of Peterson’s vehicle and extensive disabling damage to the front of Meyer’s vehicle. Peterson received a citation for failing to yield while making a left hand turn. Meyer’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

Jennie Lynn Kristine Krauter Doll, 20, of Kennan was backing out of the county garage onto S. Second St. on May 17, at 6:11 a.m., in the city of Medford. A vehicle owned by Jennifer Jao Pester, of Medford was legally parked across from the county garage driveway. Doll backed out onto the roadway and struck Pester’s vehicle on the rear driver’s side causing minor damage. Doll’s vehicle sustained similar damage on the rear passenger side. Doll stated that she looked but did not see the vehicle on the other side of the roadway due to the steep angle of the garage driveway.

Charles Robert Bertrand, 37, of Medford, was backing up in a parking lot on Jensen Drive when it struck Mark Allen Lange’s vehicle on May 23, at 10:45 a.m. The back bumper of Bertrand’s vehicle scraped along the front bumper of Lange’s vehicle, causing paint transfer and minor damage to both vehicles. Lange’s vehicle was parked within the designated parking area and unoccupied at the time.
