Theo Robisch posted three topthree finishes in the jump and the boys 3,200-meter relay team got a win at Tuesday’s Stratford Triangular.

The girls swept the top three spots in the 400-meter dash, highlighting their day at the meet, which also included the Mosinee Indians, who won both team titles. Stratford was second and Rib Lake was third in both sides of the meet.

In the boys meet, Rib Lake totaled 120.5 points to trail Mosinee (200) and Stratford (187.5).

Robisch, a junior, won the triple jump with a personal-best distance of 35 feet, 11.5 inches, beating Stratford’s Garrett Zuelke by 5.5 inches, while teammates Damien Peterson (31-10) and Xavier Johnson (30-4.5) also set personal bests, while taking fourth and sixth places. Robisch also extended his personal best distance in the long jump, going 18 feet even to finish 4 inches behind Mosinee’s Kyle Miller and 10.25 inches ahead of thirdplace jumper Mason Pompo of Mosinee. Donovan Sutherland returned to Rib Lake’s lineup and nabbed fourth place in a personal-best 16-5.25, Will Hartke was fifth at 15-6 and Peterson was seventh at 15-5.5.

Robisch, in just his second high jump competition, placed third in that event by clearing the bar at 5-4. He was 2 inches under the leaders, Xander Curtice of Stratford and Miller. Dominick Classen was fifth for Rib Lake at 5 feet and Noah Wiitala hit 4-10 to place sixth.

Closing out the field events, Brandon Heiser hit a new high mark for himself in the discus with a fourth-place throw of 92-7, Xavier Johnson improved by 5 inches to 62-11 to place 10th and Peter Walters was 12th at 55-6. Mosinee’s Walker Beyerl (120-1) and Wyatt Cherek (119-8) easily earned the top two spots. Heiser was seventh in the shot put at 31-10, while Walters was 14th at 20-2. Beyerl (43-4.5) and Stratford’s Koehler Kilty (41-10) were the top throwers.

Sutherland, Elijah Scott, Hartke and Buehler teamed up to get an uncontested win in the 3,200-meter relay in 10:20.36. The team of Ethan Keiser, Ben Petersen, Wiitala and Classen finished second in the 800-meter relay at 1:43.15, trailing Stratford (1:38.02) and beating Stratford B (1:48.55). The 400-meter team of Keiser, Sutherland, Wiitala and Classen was third in 48.19 seconds, ahead of Stratford B (51.56) and behind Mosinee (46.26) and Stratford (46.66).

Buehler continued his strong distance season with two second-place finishes. The first was in the 1,600-meter run, where he finished in 5:20.62 and Scott was fourth in 5:46.14. Stratford’s Lance Krieg won in 5:02.58. Buehler added a time of 2:21.92 in the 800-meter run that left him 3.1 seconds behind Mosinee’s Cooper Szekeress.

Keiser placed third in the 100-meter dash at 12.58 seconds behind Miller (11.71) and Mosinee’s Barnes Bunkelman (12.02). Wiitala was sixth at 12.89 seconds and Peterson was ninth (13.34).

Rib Lake’s girls scored 101 points to trail Mosinee (224) and Stratford (165).

With no one else in the 400-meter dash, Rib Lake earned a sweep of the top three spots with Nadia Czahor (1:20.24), Amy Espinoza (1:27.27) and Sofia Fraschi (1:28.06). Those three also placed fourth through sixth in the 800-meter run. Czahor’s time was 3:15.74, Espinoza finished in 3:29.41 and Fraschi came in at 4:06.79.

The Lady Redmen got second-place points in the 400-meter relay with Megan Yanko, Lauren Pelnis, Olivia Lopez and Amber Yanko crossing the finish line in 56.33 seconds, 0.3 seconds ahead of Stratford. Mosinee won in 52.57 seconds.

Lopez took third in three individual events. The sophomore went 14-7 in the long jump to fall 8 inches behind winner Adalyn Lehman of Mosinee and went 31-8.5 in the triple jump. She was 2.75 inches behind runner-up Kate Fitzgerald of Mosinee in an event won by Jaidyn Wright of Stratford (35-1.5). Lopez ran the 200-meter dash in 28.71 seconds, trailing Fitzgerald (26.99) and Lehman (27.9).

Megan Yanko cleared 4-4 and came up third in a five-way tie in the high jump. Mosinee’s Annabella Kennedy won the tiebreaker, while Stratford’s Kassedey Downey was credited with second place.

Pelnis was fourth in the shot put with a toss of 28-10, while Hannah Schuh was two places and 2 feet behind her. Grace Artz was 14th at 19-5. Schuh took fifth in the discus with a throw of 71-5, Artz was 14th, Ziarra Schrader was 16th and Ryanna Schrader was 19th.

Amber Yanko led Rib Lake with a sixth-place time of 14.56 seconds in the 100-meter dash. Ryanna Schrader (16.16) was 12th and Abigail Hebda (16.59) was 14th. Kylee Goodrich was sixth in the 1,600-meter run in a season-best 6:23.

Rib Lake hosts its annual Northwoods Quad Friday at 4:30 p.m. with Phillips, Prentice and Chequamegon attending. The team is also at Edgar on Monday.
