CRASH REPORTS

Brian Raymond McCluskey, 62, of Rib Lake, was traveling eastbound on CTH M, on April 21, at 5:12 p.m., in the town of Chelsea. McCluskey’s truck struck mailboxes on the north side of the road and entered the ditch, striking a phone box and trees coming to rest facing the northeasterly direction. McCluskey stated he fell asleep. McCluskey’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Failure to control and failure to keep in designated lane were factors in the accident. McCluskey was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

Cody James Schult, 35, of Hawkins, was traveling southbound on Hwy 13, in the town of Chelsea, on April 25, at 10:31 p.m. when he crossed into the northbound lane of traffic. Mary Jayne Sautner, 64, of Westboro, was traveling northbound on Hwy 13. Schult’s vehicle collided front to front with Sautner’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. Schult was arrested for OWI (1st offense). Sautner sustained several injuries and was transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital via ambulance. Schult received 3 citations for operating left of center, operating while under the influence, and cause injury/operate while under the influence (1st offense).

Deanna M. Lee, 51, of Stanley, was leaving the parking stall in the Nestle parking lot. Lee turned too sharp and struck a legally parked vehicle, owned by Thomas Michael Heikkinen, of Brantwood. Looked but did not see was a factor in the collision.

Lucas Vincent Liske, 16, of Medford, was southbound in the driving lane of the west parking lot of MASH, on April 27, at 3:30 p.m., in the city of Medford. Liske stated that Makayla Marie Breneman, 18, of Medford, was backing out of her parking stall when her vehicle collided with the back of Liske’s vehicle. Liske stated that Breneman continued to backup and proceeded to drive off without stopping. Breneman was identified through registration records as the other vehicle in the collision. Breneman was issued a citation for hit and run unattended vehicle.

The following car vs. deer accident was reported: Deborah Lynn Peil, 32, of Stetsonville, on April 27, at 5:46 a.m., on CTH A, in the town of Little Black.
