Guilty pleas

Trista L. Bruhn, 29, of Dorchester, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine. Sentence was withheld and a probation of 3 years was ordered. Bruhn must submit a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, and undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation. Bruhn shall also pay a fine of $518. Charges of possession of THC (2nd offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail-jumping were dismissed but read in court.

Joseph R. Escobar, 41, of Medford, pled guilty to possession of a firearm-convicted of out-of-state felony. A local jail sentence was issued for 120 days. The jail sentence shall begin immediately, and may be served with huber and good time. Escobar forfeited of $518.

Escobar also pled guilty to OWI (4th offense). A local jail sentence was issued for 240 days. There is a twelve day sentence credit to be applied. His license was suspended for 36 months and an ignition interlock system shall be installed for 1 year after license is reinstated. He forfeited $2,542. Escobar shall submit a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department and attend AODA counseling and comply with the Driver Safety Plan. The costs shall be paid at the rate of $50/month beginning 30 days after release from custody.

The following charges were dismissed but read in court: disorderly conduct, operation firearm while intoxicated, carry concealed weapon, misdemeanor bailjumping, operating without a valid license (2nd within 3 years), operating with PAC (4th offense).

Matthew W. Nye, 41, of Dorchester, pled guilty to possession of THC (2nd+ offense). Sentence was withheld and a probation of 2 years was issued. Nye must pay a fine of $518. Nye shall submit a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department and undergo an AODA and attend counseling and follow through with all treatment recommendations. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed but read in court.

Robert J. McCormick, 25, of Phillips, pled no contest to operating with restricted controlled substance (2nd offense). A local jail sentence of 15 days was issued, which shall begin no later than March 20, at 4:30 p.m and can be served with huber and good time. McCormick’s license was revoked for 15 months and an ignition interlock system will be installed after license is reinstated. He is ordered to pay a forfeiture of $1603. McCormick shall submit a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department and undergo AODA and follow through with the driver safety plan. The fine and costs shall be paid at the rate of $100/month beginning April 1.

C Yoel Menashe, 33, of Medford, pled no contest to 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety. Sentence was withheld and a probation of 3 years was issued. Jail time of 30 days was issued and can begin no later than January 21, at 4:30 p.m. The sentence may be served with huber. He is ordered to pay a fine of $566. Menashe shall submit a DNA sample to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department and undergo an AODA and attend counseling and follow through with treatment recommendations. He shall also write a letter of apology to the victim within 30 days of sentencing. A charge of 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, and carrying a handgun while alcohol was sold/consumed, were dismissed but read in court.

Menashe pled no contest to operating with restricted controlled substance (1st offense). His license was revoked for 7 months, and he must pay a fine of $891. Menashe shall undergo AODA and follow through with the drivers safety plan. A charge of OWI (1st offense) was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Menashe pled no contest to possession of THC. Sentence was withheld and a probation of 1 year was ordered. Local jail time of 60 days was imposed and stayed. Jail sentence may be served with huber and good time. Menashe forfeited $886. A charge of felony bail-jumping was dismissed but read in court.

Bryer Joseph Nichols, 24, of Gilman pled no contest to operating with PAC (>=.08, <.15)(1st offense). License was revoked for 6 months. Nichols must complete AODA, and follow through with driver safety plan. He must pay a fine of $811.50. A charge of OWI (1st offense) was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Heather L. Spinler, 39, of Medford, pled no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct. The charge was amended to remove domestic abuse enhancer. Court finds Spinler guilty of disorderly conduct. Court orders DNA sample and surcharge. Court costs of $443 shall be paid at the rate of $50/month beginning February 1.

Jamie R. Pester, 42, of Medford, pled no contest to failure to maintain holding/septic tanks. Pester entered a deferred entry of judgment for a period of 4 years. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the court will dismiss the case.

Douglas James Pinkston, 83, of Medford, pled no contest to failing to maintain holding/septic tanks. Pinkston entered a deferred entry of judgment for a period of 4 years. Upon successful completion of agreement, the court will dismiss the case.

John W. Sweda, 40, of Lublin, was charged with trespassing. The charge was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Heather J. Rust, 44, of Cadott, pled not guilty to theftmoveable property (<=$2,500) and obtain controlled substance by fraud. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 23, at 1:30 p.m. A status hearing is scheduled for April 14, at 2 p.m.

Sebastian A. Marquardt, 17, of Owen, pled not guilty to battery and disorderly conduct. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 16, at 1 p.m. A status hearing is scheduled for March 2, at 10:45 a.m.

Ricky Dean Bruce, 57, of Curtiss, pled not guilty to OWI (3rd offense). A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 23, at 10:30 a.m.

Brok Steven Hathaway, 18, of Medford, pled not guilty for failing to stop for an unloading school bus. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 8, at 9:30 a.m. A court trial is scheduled for March 15, at 10:30 a.m.

Brian Gene Kraay, 55, of Westboro, pled not guilty to failing to maintain holding/septic tanks. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 8, at 9 a.m. A court trial is scheduled for March 15, at 10:30 a.m.

Elliot James Marshall, 25, of Stetsonville, pled not guilty to OWI (1st offense) and inattentive driving. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for March 9, at 9:30 a.m.

Taylor Lee Nelson, 31, of Waukesha, pled not guilty to OWI (2nd offense), and operating left of the center line. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 23, at 10 a.m.

Slater Allen Piller, 16, of Medford, pled not guilty to exceeding speed zones (30-34 mph over). A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 8, at 10 a.m. A court trial is scheduled for March 15, at 10:30 a.m.

Christina M. Podevels, 43, of Abbotsford, pled not guilty to exceeding speed zones, (16-19 mph over). A pretrial conference is scheduled for February 8, at 11:30 a.m. A court trial is scheduled for March 15, at 10:30 a.m.

Efrain Florescamerena, 29, of Medford pled not guilty to operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating without a valid license (1st violation). A pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 8, at 10:30 a.m. A court trial is scheduled for March 15, at 10:30 a.m.
